The root of most problems in the world today is banks and money.  Our society has evolved into one that is dictated by money.  The élite banking families of the world have, at the least, taken advantage of this to funnel the worlds money to them and to instill control over the general population.  Sound a little far-fetched?  It did to me as well until I started learning about the banking system.

Central banks in the world, specifically to the US The Federal Reserve, are the controllers of the money supply by way of creation of money and creation, administration and enforcement of monetary policy.  Here are some facts about The Federal Reserve:

1. The Federal Reserve is NOT a part of the US Federal Government.

2. The Federal Reserve is a PRIVATE bank.

3. The Federal Reserve creates and controls the US money supply.

4. The Federal Reserve will not allow Congress to conduct a complete audit if it's books.

5. The Fetderal Reserve will NOT divulge the names of its owners to Congress.

6. When The Federal Reserve creates money for the US, the debt associated with that money is greater than the money.

Now which one of those doesn't piss you off?  They all should.  Because the US doesn't need a private bank to perform the duties of money creation and control.  This is a responsibility of the government.  We were warned early by many including Thomas Jefferson to not put the nation's money in the control of private banks.

Here are some historical quotes:

1. "The central bank is an institution of the most deadly hostility existing against the Principles and form of our Constitution. I am an Enemy to all banks discounting bills or notes for anything but Coin. If the American People allow private banks to control the issuance of their currency, first by inflation and then by deflation, the banks and corporations that will grow up around them will deprive the People of all their Property until their Children will wake up homeless on the continent their Fathers conquered." - Thomas Jefferson

2. "If we run into such debts as that we must be taxed in our meat and in our drink, in our necessaries and our comforts, in our labors and our amusements, for our callings and our creeds, as the people of England are, our people, like them, must come to labor sixteen hours in the twenty-four, and give the earnings of fifteen of these to the government for their debts and daily expenses; And the sixteen being insufficient to afford us bread, we must live, as they do now, on oatmeal and potatoes, have no time to think, no means of calling the mismanagers to account; But be glad to obtain subsistence by hiring ourselves to rivet their chains around the necks of our fellow sufferers; And this is the tendency of all human governments. A departure from principle in one instance becomes a precedent for a second, that second for a third, and so on 'til the bulk of society is reduced to mere automatons of misery, to have no sensibilities left but for sinning and suffering...and the forehorse of this frightful team is public debt. Taxation follows that, and in its train wretchedness and oppression."

- Thomas Jefferson

3."I believe that banking institutions are more dangerous to our liberties than standing armies.  Already they have raised up a monied aristocracy that has set the government at defiance. The issuing power (of money) should be taken away from the banks and restored to the people to whom it properly belongs." — Thomas Jefferson, U.S. President.

4. "It is well that the people of the nation do not understand our banking and monetary system, for if they did, I believe there would be a revolution before tomorrow morning." — Henry Ford

5. "Most Americans have no real understanding of the operation of the international money lenders. The accounts of the Federal Reserve System have never been audited. It operates outside the control of Congress and manipulates the credit of the United States" — Sen. Barry Goldwater

6. "This [Federal Reserve Act] establishes the most gigantic trust on earth. When the President [Wilson} signs this bill, the invisible government of the monetary power will be legalized....the worst legislative crime of the ages is perpetrated by this banking and currency bill." — Charles A. Lindbergh, Sr. , 1913

7. "From now on, depressions will be scientifically created." — Congressman Charles A.Lindbergh Sr. , 1913

8."We have, in this country, one of the most corrupt institutions the world has ever known. I refer to the Federal Reserve Board. This evil institution has impoverished the people of the United States and has practically bankrupted our government. It has done this through the corrupt practices of the moneyed vultures who control it". — Congressman Louis T. McFadden in 1932 (Rep. Pa)

9. "Some people think the Federal Reserve Banks are the United States government's institutions.  They are not government institutions. They are private credit monopolies which prey upon the people of the United States for the benefit of themselves and their foreign swindlers" — Congressional Record 12595-12603 — Louis T. McFadden, Chairman of the Committee on Banking and Currency (12 years) June 10, 1932

10. "Banking was conceived in iniquity and was born in sin. The Bankers own the earth. Take it away from them, but leave them the power to create deposits, and with the flick of the pen they will create enough deposits to buy it back again. However, take it away from them, and all the great fortunes like mine will disappear and they ought to disappear, for this would be a happier and better world to live in. But, if you wish to remain the slaves of Bankers and pay the cost of your own slavery, let them continue to create deposits." — SIR JOSIAH STAMP, (President of the Bank of England in the 1920's, the second richest man in Britain)

11. "We are completely dependant on the commercial banks. Someone has to borrow every dollar we have in circulation, cash or credit. If the banks create ample synthetic money we are prosperous; if not, we starve. We are absolutely without a permanent money system.... It is the most important subject intelligent persons can investigate and reflect upon. It is so important that our present civilization may collapse unless it becomes widely understood and the defects remedied very soon." — Robert H. Hamphill, Atlanta Federal Reserve Bank Credit Manager - 1934

OK, you get the idea.  The last two quotes are the ultimate slap in the face considering (10) came from the president of the largest central bank in the world at that time and that he said it in the 1920's and nothing has changed since except the banks have gotten richer and more powerful. (11) came from within the The Federal Reserve system.
